Default Acceleration Issues

Hey everyone, I've recently had some very serious acceleration issues with the good ol' sixer. It sounds to me like my engine is running extremely hard for the actual speed that is being attained. I know for a fact that my car used to be quicker. I bought some stuff called seafoam to completely clean out deposits and stuff, but i need to know some stuff about vaccum lines and what not...can anyone give any info

Do you have a stick or an auto? If it's a stick, it could be a slipping clutch. If it's an auto it could be torque converter issues.

If you have to get your clutch replaced, don't be surprised if you spend anywhere from 500-800 dollars to get a new one. Try and find someone that knows how to do it. I already had to get mine replaced once. I thought it was the throwout bearing going, but it turns out it was the pilot bearing and i still had the chirping sound even after i had mine replaced.
