No trouble codes showing a miss? That's weird. I would aslo check the IAC motor as 232_01 mustang said, those things can act up and not throw a code. Aslo the EGR can make it run like that.

EGR valve. (If it has one). To recycle exhaust gasses back into the maniflod to reburn. I saw one the other day on a ranger 4 cyl that was sticking and made the engine miss at an idle and we could swear it was cylinder 1 missing but it turned out to be the egr, weird.

ORIGINAL: flash20

my car is ideling very roughly latey but only when im stop at a light, not while in neutral, and also my car seems to "misses" cuasing it to sputter

i already changed or replaced

the fuel pump
fuel filter
cleaned the air filter
did a whole fuel system job
flushed the tranny and changed the gasket

it hasnt thrown any codes or anything im totally pissed any1 have any idea what it could be!!!!

o yea i have an 01 auto
MY CAR IS DOING THE SAME SHYT!

God it's so annoying, I think posidone has cursed our car becuase of the name of the color. "atlantic", maybe they should have names it "water looking blue"....no but on a serious note, why is this happening? My guess would be that my spark plugs are miscalibrated, or not. I already cleaned the MAF and the IAS with electrical cleaner....so whatz going on? Im gonna go to a different mechanic later today and see what they have to say about it, it was like recommenced by an exhaust mechanic.

Oh yeah, I tried the sea foam too, it made the car run a little smoother but the small "back fires" havent stopped. I've also gottena new fuel pump, fuel filter, air filter, sparkplugs + wires, oil change (1000 miles ago), so really I have no idea, and the computer from auto zone didnt pick up any codes.
