It gives a similar result. The shift kit redirects fluid flow and has thicker, stronger springs resulting in harder shifts. The tuner increases fluid pressure creating a similar result.
I feel that with the added pressure on the tranny the stronger shift kit stronger parts help to neturalize the strain, the programmer route just increases tranny strain.

what is a full manual i thought all a shift kit did was boost line pressure and stiffen shifts
is a full manual like a semiauto or slap shift in some cars where it is auto then you pull all the way back and you hit the shifter up or right to go up gears and left or down to go down gears
kinda like this where their is the up and down section
