plug strange

hey all i hav a 2000stang v6took out the shift boot and there was a plug that connected to the plastic looks like an factory option plug and would like to know what it does so i can put it in.

Are you an automatic? For my car there's a plug in that area that disabled my over drive when I disconnected it.

no i have a 5 speed but maybe the plug is pre ran and is pluged in later to either the auto port or the plastic behind the shifter. idk

i think its the traction control switch. is it actually plugged into the bezel?

it plugs in behind the shifter in the plastic

there is no switch it is just a long multiport plug the clips in with 2 plastic clips. the port it is in now is the plastic dash it acually goes next to where the cig plug is.
