Default Flowmaster40=Mac

So I just got back from my exhaust shop where they custom fabbed a cross-over and also switched out my macs with flowmasters. So yeah I was all excited, but then they turned it on and yeah sure it does sound a little deeper but man, it's quite. Well not really but quiter than mac, so now I'm like wtf. It sounds almost Identical to mac, except a tiny bit deeper but quiter....so, do I have to wait till they break in for thier real sound or something? Anyways.....mac's for sale. 60+ shipping....ftw.....[>:]

Do you still have your cats on?

They weren't going to sound that much deeper.
And my exhaust was louder the first day or two, then it kinda of quited down, and equalized I guess you could say, but it is still loud.

If u want them loud get rid off the midpipe and go with straight duals with super 40s it will sound bad ***.I switched over to H pipe because of a bit loss of low end torque. Its a bit quieter now but slight gain in performance.

I did have straight pipe, but it was giving me a head ache, it sounded like a giant bee was flying beside me.

98 i have divorced duels with v-force mufflers (basically a flow 40) the popping you hear is NOT there when you are driving just when the engine is under no load. pretty soon im going to have a h-pipe put in and change out the mufflers to dynomax super turbos. i had one on my old 3.9 dakota and always has people asking if it was a eight

it's spelled quiet not quited. That means your exhaust just gave up.
