Co-worker's alternator went out on her 04 V6 Mustang. She went to go buy one and every parts house told her dealer item. I'm wondering if it's the same alternator as the 96-00 because that's all it shows in all of Mustang catalogs. She's anxious because she can't be without her car and doesn't want to wait on the dealership or pay what they're going to charge.

 

Is it a 3.8 or a 3.9??? If it's a 3.8 then she's good, if not then sorry, but she's gonna have to bite the bullet. See if there is someone in the area that can rebuild it.

if its a 2004, its a 3.9.
