lol i love parents who act like they know what they're talkn' about...they just need to stfu!

like how mine thought the FBI would come after me if I have an o/r mid pipe...okay they didn't really say that, but they thought it was illegal in MI, but its not.

**** 'em, do it!

play the old "stong block" card

but lets see what others who know a thing or two about our cars say...

If run safetly, not pushing like 20psi or something, the engine will have the same life it would normally have as long as you take care of it, replace what's needed here and there, and don't beat on it.
Or at least not all the time. [8D]

You might want to check the compression you have in all 6 cylinders prior to the install just to make sure everything is still good on the inside of the car. Have you kept it up otherwise (oil changes, fitler changes etc...) ?

If you keep it a lower boost levels, the stock bottom end will hold up fine.
