Default pins in trans

it the kid doing the transmission swap again. there is a thick little pin in the bell housing of the trans tht goes into a hole b/t 2 bolt hole, this is paired by a peg (pin) in the engine tht sits on the opposite side (drive to be specific) tht does the same on teh other side of the housing. here is the question, the pegs (pins) fit tight into the auto but not so much in the manual trans, they dont seem too important other than they just keep the trans steady while u bolt it in. is this all ok i just want to make sure im not wrong on these pegs?
