quick question on UDP
I'm going to be installing my ASP udp (25%) today and was wondering, why do I have to remove the old balancer, won't the new pulley bolt to it or am I missing some thing? If it will it would sure be a lot easier and faster. Has anyone done it this way?

I guess I'm the only one then huh? I got my pulley and belt in and that same day just took off the old pulley by removing the four bolts that hold it to the balencer and put the new pulley in its place. Took me about 20 minutes. That was over 4 months agoI guess; and I haven't seen signs of any problems.
94-98 have a different setup, the harmonic balancer and crank pulley are separate pieces. that is why it is so much cheaper to get an UDP for a 94-98, you only need the pulley and not the balancer. for 99-04 they are one piece and you have to get both to get the UDP
