Default Engine swap first time help me

I have a 1996 Ford Mustang. I t has the 3.8 v-6. It is a 5-speed. I have raced this car before and keep losing to an escort zx2 and plan on supercharging it. I have found a 1993 ford t bird super coupe and plan on swaping engines but it is an auto and mine is five speed. what will I need to do this. please help me.

tools and some repair manualls would be great. Make sure you lable every hose and plug so you will know where it goes later. Take lots pictures too, they can be a big help later.

Does that engine have less miles than yours? Cuz if not then just take the the s/c and the rest of the stuff off and put it on yours.

take pistons too, isnt it the same bore? 3.83? You will need a new Trans computer/harness. I say rebuild/build that engine, and then put it in ur car

So the stock 3.8 tranny that is in my stang will not bolt up?

You should just do a total swap. It would be alot easier than trying to make everything work on your motor.

more or less same block, but the tranny will bolt up no prob...but if ur doin a swap get a better intercooler, the stock supercoupe intercooler sucks ***** and a better one will help with power
