hood scoop question...

Default hood scoop question...

to make the scoop more functional is it a good idea to leave the fake grill off an take the fake grill off the hood... i want more air to get in the engin compartment...

oh i just bought this 2000 v6... got hook cos my pops bought one 8 months ago and i really wanted one in stick cos auto is not a fun drive...

I think even if you take the grill out no more air will get into the engine because of the way the hood and the intake is constructed.

It's not going to help with cold air into the engine. It will let water get on the motor though when it rains or you wash it.

what i have heard it will hurt nothing but it will def not help u at all, maybe a lil bit at a steady 100 mph but not enough for the trouble

It still wont make a difference in preformance unless you get a shaker kit, which i belive you can do with that hood, and they look bad @$$
