What year is your car and where are you getting DTCNone from? The guage cluster?
Newer than 95 requires you to drive the car until its completed a full drive cycle. That means it can take up to a week to actually retrieve a code. Some sensors need to be worked through several start-ups, shut-downs, and driving at various speeds in order to be recorded by the ECU.

im an 02 5 speed, i d/c the neg. terminal on my battery, then the light is off, but everytime ive done this(3x) it comes back within a day or two, and its dtcNONE on the cluster yea, the diagnostic test that reads the entire cars computer (fuel, oil, dtc, etc)
well, there might be another thing, i recently switched to 5w-30 from 5w-20 for the extra heat protection in the summer, and i read that it gives you 30% more engine life even though you lose that 1% mpg/fuel economy... could that be it?
edit: by the way when i do the instrument diagnostic, the Oil reads 000 (but there is oil)

you need to take it to autozone or something and have them read the code from the obd2 port. the code your getting doesnt say anything at all. its free, just run the car over there real quick. we can give you a very good idea of what the problem is if you get that code from them.

ok i went to autozone, he printed me out a receipt for the problem..
P0455 - EVAP
Definition: EVAP large leak detected
Explanation: The ECM has detected a large leak in the EVAP system during a system monitor test.
Causes: 1. Defective, loose or missing fuel cap 2. EVAP canister broke, hose cracked or not connected 3. Purge or vent solenoid defective. 4. Vacuum leak at engine.
Well, my fuel cap is in, is the sensor screwed up? I did have to mess around with it when replacing the filler neck sealant

Also take a look in the passenger side, front, tirewell, there is an AIR pump there with plastic lines leading to it. If you remove the Air Box where the filter is at you'll be able to reach the top of it through the hole. Make sure the lines are attached. They may have come off since they just push onto the fitting.
