Default Window stuck down...

Are there multiple reasons for a window to get stuck down? My window was working fine about 20 minutes ago, i go to the car wash and BANG the window wont roll up! The passanger side still works and as far as i can tell, everything else electronical works as well. I took off the door pannel and listened to the sounds it made everytime i tried to roll it up or down...it makes a clicking sound when i try to roll it down but no sound when i try to roll it up...PLEASE HELP I LIVE IN FL AND ITS GOING TO RAIN FOR THE NEXT WEEK!!!

Could be something as simple as the motor. Shouldn't cost all that much to fix.

sounds like the car wash got some water into your panel.. looks like you need a new motor for the window, gotta wait til tues lol, unless you know someone who has the parts.

keep the car under a cover/tarp/garaged til then.

I'm sure there is a way you could disconnect the motor and manually get the window up for now. I don't know how I've never had to do it but if you just take the door panel off you should be able to see what needs to be done to get it to move.

you might think this is a hillbilly way to fix it, but it seriously works...lol ive had it happen to two cars and its a good temp fix, take a hammer put 2 layers of duct tape over the head of it, and smack the window motor with it a couple times, not lightly but not so hard as to break the rivets that hold it onto the door panel, but i dont know why it works, but it does.give it a try
