Default tranny

so i have a y2k 3.8 auto and whenever i shift from reverse to drive or neutral
or whatever it hear a grinding sound. what could this be?

do u park on a hill, are u slapping the shifter or holding the button in and shifting through every gear

u could need a tranny flush, filter and fluid change

Check your fluid level first, you might be simply low on ATF. Make sure that you top it with proper fluid (Mercon V)
