HELP QUICK! Short Shifter Install

Ok im out in my driveway trying to put in my short throw, i got all the stock stuff completely off all the bolts on the shifter and its completely stuck to the tranny. Is there anything i can do besides pulling real freakin hard. Please dont tell me i gotta get under the car

That sealant gets sticky over the years... I think I had to pry mine off with a flathead.

Ok i got that figures out, but i now im trying to figure out exactly how to set the bolts for how long the thorw should be.

DONT move the stopping bolts until your done bolting it down. They should be a hair away from where the shifter sits in gear or else you'll grind the hell out of it.
