Default window trouble

I bought this car about a year ago. It is an '01 and hasn't given me any problems until these past few weeks. It wasn't anything big but i noticed that the driver side window was a little off when i shut the door. Then two days ago i had just gotten home and i went to roll up the windows and the driver side one wouldn't go up. At first i just figured that it needed a new motor but today when i got in my car to go to work it went up and down just fine. So when i got home from work today i decided to look at it. I took off the door panel and looked at everything. Idk why it didnt go up before but it seemed ok now. What i found was that the window was off track because the bracket that the glass slid into had been pushed off the glass. The window is just siliconed into the bracket and i guess the silicone had just come undone. The problem that i have is that i can push the bracket back onto the window but then when i put the window up it slides off again. So i looked in the door panel and saw that there was a little bracket at the top of the window track that stopped the window when it got to the top, but the window continued to go up after the brackets collided. The top bracket would just slide the window bracket down off the glass and then the window would go up about another half inch . The bracket seemed pretty low to me so i was just wondering if i just need to re-silicone the window and just leave it? or if i need to move the stopping bracket up as well?

If the repair manual doesn't tell you the answers to your questions, then look at your passenger door and see how it is "supposed" to look, then next I would try a salvage yard, go look at the driver's door/window on an undamaged model as yours.

i dont know what this says cause i dont have a long enough attention span to read that much but i noticed that when i roll up or down both my windows at the same time the passenger side always takes a little longer.

Haha cool so mines not the only one that does that... No his post says his stops working and comes off the track when he rolls it up.
