Well its really a matter of preference.. Two of my best friends have '00 V6 mustangs and one got true dual flows and one spent a grand on a sweet sound system. Both of them absolutely love their purchases and would never take them back. In the end its all about what your style is.

My friend has two 10" Infinity Kappa Perfects and a new amp and the difference is incredible. If you love loud powerful sound systems theres really no comparison.

Well I know that with my friends system with the trunk open you could hear it clearly from like 200 yrds away and when you were in the car and it was turned way up it felt like it could restart your heart it hit you so hard.

With the exhaust, your car will definitely sound throatier and more powerful. It also looks great. You really cant go wrong between the two..

How long do you plan on keeping your car? If your going to sell it anytime in the new future the sound system would probably be a better choice since you can sell it much easier or you could move it to your new car.

I would probably go with sound system. Dual exhaust doesn't really give you that much HP. Whichever you decide to do though, do it right because if you go cheap then both would sound like garbage.

why not get both? you can get the force mufflers for $30/each, GT take off for ~$100, and an exhaust shop to custom fab everything together for another ~$125, so less than $300. you can get a decent little 10" sub and amp for ~$300 too. even a 500 watt will add just enough thump to liven up your sound system. i got all my sound shat from http://www.etronics.com/ . good stuff and pretty cheap. i got one of their $55 1200watt amps for my GFs car and it's over a year old and never had a problem. thumps hard.
