Default Body Squeaking

The left rear quarter panel area on my car has been squeaking over the past couple months, and its getting progressively worse. Most of the time its when I'm turning right, which makes me think its somtehing in the chassy (like my spelling? lol) flexing. It doesn't do it when I turn left, and it does it when I'm going in a straight line, just not as loud.

I've felt all the body panels and trim and stuff inside and out, and nothing is loose. I can't figure out what it is. I'm thinking the body might be getting stressed somewhere. Maybe something like subframe connectors would stiffen it up and make it stop. Any opinions? Its a 98, so its only 9 years old, actually probably about 10.

One of my best friends has a 98 gt and it does the excact thing your talking about even the the squeek is louder on the left turn, ill ask him if he ever figured out wut it was.

Maybe the spring isolator? You could spray them with WD40 and see if that helps.

Lubricate your e-brake cables where they come out of the body to the calipers. Mine squeeked its *** off until I sprayed some WD-40 on the lines.

alright, well last night I took some WD40 to practically any joint or possible squeaking spot I could find in the rear suspension area. Shock mounts, what I think are the ebrake cables, spring seats, etc. I forgot to listen for it this morning, but I didn't notice it, so thats a good sign. Could be just because I had the radio on, but usually I notice it even with the radio on.

hopefully this works.

alright, well I jacked up the rear end today, and got under there and sprayed everything I could see that might possibly be squeaking, went for a drive, and now the squeaking is totally gone. Only thing now is a few of my interior body panels are coming a little loose and rattle occasionally, but the original squeaking noise is gone.
