FAN / COOLANT / RADIATOR is all jacked up
[&:][:@][&:][:@] can someone please help me and explain to me why when I am caught in traffic, or at a long red light, my coolant light goes way up (to the red danger zone). The dial is right in the middle when im driving, but it gets too hot while im stopped. is it a bad thermostat? is the raiator broken? is the fan messed up? hopefully someone knows something.... THANKS !!!!! [&:][:@][&:][:@]

RE: FAN / COOLANT / RADIATOR is all jacked up
ok
first of all
prop up the hood---turn up the engine, and wait for a couple of minutes
look if the radiator fan starts -up
look at the coolant level, a low level makes something like this
why your coolant heats up at the light and not when you ride>"?
let me explain (radiator fan working bad) when you ride, there is more air coming trough the radiator, which makes the coolant to be at a normal temperature
-at the light ----no air- no radiator fan --=high temperature
could be the coolant thermostat
could be the thermostat from radiator fan
