Default Back up lights problem

i was leaving a friends house the other day when i realized my back up lights were not on. so next day i checked the fuse, and turns out to be good. then i figured maybe its the lights, but lights rarely blow at the same time, and i changed the bulbs but still no dice. could this be a wiring problem or what? fuses are all good i'm sure and its notthe bulbs so i don't know what to do. any suggestions?

Yeah, check the wiring and ballasts and there may be some problem there, or it could be some sensor somewhere that recongizes that the car is in reverse, not too sure. [8D]
