Default SUSPENSION

how much of a notice would their be if i upgraged my suspension to Eibach Proseries and got new upper and lower control arms and a gt rear sway bar

i may also look at a strut tower

im planning on cuttin out rear catsand putting on a gt take off

the gt take off parts i may just buy new from our supplier at work Berrodin they are part of the united auto parts group and i can get 20-25% off beings midas has a deal with them i think im going to call and get a quote on the parts on monday and see how much it would cost to get new and if its too much il just find some one online selling a set

and i have acess to a lift any time and one of the techs that works their is a ASE master certified and a few accredidation away from a ford master mechanic so if i run into problems he could help

and one more question what is the stock gear ration for a 04 v6 and what would be the gear ration of a 8.8 of 93-98 or 99-04 i was just thinking about possibly just swapping the rear of a wrecked gt their is a ward near that may have one

Stock gear ratio:3.27. The only 8.8 axel with more gear stock would be a 05+ 3.31 or 3.55. I would think 3.73's and a T-Lok in the stock 7.5 would be the best route to go unless you plan to add some seroius power and run it at track where hard launches on sticky tires are taking place. Even then, I dont know if a 8.8 with stock 28 spline axel shafts is going to be any better. Like I saidyou will need a lot of TQ to worry about that.

For suspenion, why not look at the Bullit Suspension package. Lowers about 3/4 an inch, springs, shock/stuts and sway bars all included. $425, and are factory designed to work together. The components are the same ones used on the 01 Bullitt GT.

my shocks and struts are still good my car only has 30,000 on it and im getting the proseries springs from upr for 150

i was just thinking about stiffening up the suspension a lil maybe even some sub frame connectors

iv heard you can even pick up some time in the 1/4 just by doing upper lower control arms because the stock ones actualy flex so much compared to the rigid boxed or tubular ones and you can also pick up time by doing SF connectors because it stiffens up the entire car and plants all the power to the wheel and will not alow the body to flex at all when taking off and some springs will give you better times because they transfer weight better when launching then stock

and pluss all that stuff will give me a much better ride

you would notice alot man pro kit springs are stiffer than stock, as for the upper n lower control arms you'd only need after market LCA's check out this article http://v6power.net/vb/showthread.php?t=15196 i jus put a 91 rear sway bar on my car n it made a real big difference...jus feel like my *** of my car feels more stable =P hope that helps

you dont want to put aftermarket upper control arms on the back. it can make things bind up worse. for the 8.8 rear, a mach 1 rear would be perfect. comes with 3.55 gears and a 8.8 tlock. it will hold up and give you a little more acceleration.

as for the bullitt suspension package, it probably wont lower your car at all. the v6 weighs less than the gt and it barely lowers the gt. so it will be good for handling but if you want your car to be lower it will suck.
