Nitrous oxygenating the air makes it colder no?

It has nothing to do with making the air cooler. That makes absolutely no difference in what happens in the combustion chamber.

 

hmm, well i was under the impression that it was all about getting as muchcold air in the engine (for combustion..) and the nitrous (which is super cooled) did that... An s/c and nitrous have about the same job only they carry them out differently.. am i wrong?

 

The only thing it cools is the intake temperature. Which I suppose would make a difference by making the air in the intake denser....But N20 works in the cylinder because when it's heated it splits into nitrogen and oxygen. Now you have more oxygen in the combustion chamber, so you can add more fuel. More fuel + more oxygen = bigger explosion = more HP.
