so wen eva i lightly touch the gas pedal and take off of it slowly i hear this very faint but kinda ear piercing noise sounds like its from the eninge...kinda sounds like either nails ona chalk board or like wen u grind a fork on a glass plate...anybody know wat it mite be

mostlylikely a loose slipping or worn belt and tensioner
does it do it when you first start the car ? does it do it when the wheels are turned ? when the ac is on ?

 

+ 1 on the belt or tensioner, especially if you have over 60k on it.

 

i hear that sound wen i start the car what shud i do?

 

i jus got a brand new tensioner...maybe i should check the belt tho...y would it be ear peircing
