My guess is you screwed up a spider gear because those are the weakest part in there and they will usually only make noise when turning.
i agree 100%
i will officially never, ever, ever, ever ever recomend an FFRP anything for a 7.5 rear, a 100% bone stock split port AUTOMATIC destroyed the spider gears, and since ive started driving it, theres been about 25k, prob 8-10 is worth my driving

funniest thing tho, i broke them on a 1-2 bump and not a D-2 shift[8D]
yeah they are weak. the T-lok uses the same size spyders and the casting is prettymuch the same except for being opened up (made weaker) to accept the clutchpacks.

FRPP gearts are great but the differentials are junk.

get the used 3.73's from MPS. or just keep the stockers and throw the detroit in with an install kit

threw an 8.8 with 3.27s in it, cheapest solution to do

so much for ford racing diffsare good for autos and you need something stronger like a detroit for 5speeds[8D]im just simply amazed at how a stock auto can do this

That can happen in almost any car when you get a tire spinning good then it suddenly grabs. My nephew broke an axle doing that in his 3/4 ton pick-up.
