Default Need help with replacing muffler

Well my friend wants to replace his stock muffler with something louder but he has to get a muffler thats less than $100 but wants something that sounds loud but not high pitched. What muffler would you guys recommend the only cheap decent sounding mufflers I can think of is a flowmaster 40 series muffler or a force muffler from summit racingwhich do you think is louder and sounds better? Is there any other muffler thats cheap and sounds good but that is decentely loud, opinions and help are appreciated.[/align]

I like the Magnaflow best (around 70 - 80 bucks). I had flomasters and hated them, way to tinny sounding in the upper rpm range.

i dont know about the stock v6 exhaust, but when i went to replace the muffler on my gt takeoffs, there wasnt enough room on the tailpipe to clamp in a new muffler. the tail pipe bent straight up and wouldnt allow for any where to securly put a clamp.

so it would probably have to be welded in.
