HELP! NO SPARK
alright, i'm new on here and really in a bind. i bought an 86 mustang V6 about a week ago with hopes of dropping a 302 or a 351 in it. anyway it's a little rougher than i thought and i just want to get rid of it. the problems: engine won't start. cranks fine, gets enough gas, but has no spark. i've already replaced the coil and the voltage regulator, checked the inertia switch and it'snot tripped, but i still cannot get any spark. i have very limited knowledge of electricals and i cannot figure out where the problem is. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
no, not firing at all, brand new coil and the distributor is fairly new, no corrosion or anything on the terminals. i just cannot figure out why it's not getting spark. all it has is one coil and the distributor. it has good compression i just cannot figure out why it will not get spark. is there a way that i can wire the coil hot or does it have to run through the EEC. any help is greatly appreciated.
