Default fog lights

well the fog light kits for our cars cost a load and i can get the HID kits cheap from a guy and a friend of mine has a set of fog lihts and mounting brackets but no lights and switches

here is my idea i want to splice into the side markers and hard wire the HID kit to that when i pull the head light switch 1 time and sidemarkers and fogs come on the 1 more time and the headlighs come on and i can use the hight and low beam feature right now i just have hids as low beams and if i turn my headlights all the way on i can choose between fogs only or fogs and headlighs kind of like high and low

will this work or is their a electrical problem that will cause this not to work correctly

id just go on both sides and before the connector for the side markers i would splice in and power the hids and then they would be on all the time and to controll the headlighs i would just flip the lever to high beams and it would be fogs only and the back to normal and it would be hid and fogs

not to hard im just wondeing if that side marker bulb is running on the same 12v that the head lights are working on and if so the amperage is the samw and the watts im going to ask my electrical teasher at uti and see what he thinksand ask him if the power going into the side markers is the same as going into the headlights and if by adding more load and resistance to that if it will cause any problems

dont tap power directly from the side markers, use 2 relays. that way the current from the side marker turns on the relay wich turns on the power to the fog lights...

pin 85- ground
pin 86- to the power wire you splice into from the sidemarkers
pin 87- to the fog lighs/hid power wire
pin 30- to the batters positive terminal

that way when the sidemarkers get power it flips the relays and lets power through to the fogs.

arent they 2 filimant bulbs? so one wire should constantly have power when they are on then another will make them flash...i think.
