Alright so pretty much ANY time i take off or shift gears my ebrake light flashes on and stays on for a sec. Lately its been just poping on (like it usually does over bumps) and just staying on for a few seconds while driving then goes off. Its really fukin annoying, and i think its probably just a wire loose or somthing. Any guidence?

 

ha ha, i was apprehensive to post as to having this problem. i have a 2004 3.9L, if this helps later.
im experiencing the same thing, it makes me so mad. at first i thought that when my DVD player was put in the guy who installed it, did something wrong installing it. but then, i put thought into it and its on a bypass switch and the e-brake is untouched.

let me know the results, ill do the same. i havent had time to check it out or ask around

 

Ya, i have an 03. I dont know why i didnt think to post here sooner, but eh. Ya its annoying.

 

when i pulled my carpet to put sound dampining crap down i nocked the wire loose that tels the car the ebrake is on. the next time i lifted it and let it down the wire poped off and my ebrake light wouldnt shut off. i just took off the console again and bolted the wire back to the little mount for it. my guess is that yours is loose too. take off the center console and tighten up the wire abit.
