Switch to 5sp from 4r70w
I can pick up a trans flywheel and clutch for next to nothing locally. There all used parts so im guessing the clutch will be worn. I dont have the pedals. Im just sick of my automatics and want at least one manual car around. Will the T-5 hold up as good as the autos? Theres no boost, just 4.2L crank, heads, intakes and other bolt ons. I also have 3.73's in the rear. Should i go for the swap? Is the manual computer needed? Driveshaft? Shifter brezel i can get from my company free. Everyone at work said stick to the auto, but this stuff is pretty much free, just the drive to get it

its a pain in the *** to swap from auto to 5 speed. atleast it is in the foxes. if you have a good stall, and a shift kit, and maybe a tunner to help out, you should be as fine as a 5 speed. probally a line lock might help out from a dig start. but personally i dont think its worth the time to swap it out.
Well i have the shiftkit and a 2500 stall, the 2500 isnt enough and i was gona do a 3200 but i think a 5 speed would be best for the 6. Also the 4r70w trans sucks compaired to a lightly moded c4. Installations no problem at all. Just wanted to know about the T5 if thats worth it
