Will this work?
I was wondering if a turbo off of a 90's model 4 cylc Thunderbird would work on a 96 Mustang? What are the basic mods you need for a turbo? What mods would you possibly need for the Thunderbird to Mustang? Also would it increase my gas mileage and insurance?
Thanks for the replies.

With enough fabrication you should be able to make it work. It won't increase mpg or insurance (unless you tell them). You will need a tune for sure, larger injectors, colder plugs, boost gauge and higher volume fuel pump.
No it will not work. Yes, you can use the compressor and need to upgrade fuel system and bend a LOT of custom piping and have it on there and spinning. But it's so undersized that you wouldn't be able to get any boost out of it. It would give you some in a twin turbo application, but not as a single.

it's fine for a street twin setup but like you said too small for a single. spool speed would be unreal but out of poop by 3000
Oh ok I thought it might be too small. Do superchargers work the same why? Because I know someone that has a Paxton s/c. Hmm I thought t/c and s/c might increase mpg. Is it because you dump more fuel when you use them?
