Charging light? Puzzling...
I have a weird situation; probably answered lots of times, but I couldn't seem to find a situation that closely resembles mine, so here I go:
Situation 1: Sometimes (often) when I am resting at a complete stop after braking, the charging indicator light will flicker on for a few seconds, then go away....odd.... this situation is NOT helped at all when the wheel is turned!
Situation 2: Not as often as the charging indicator light coming on is that when I stop the rpms drop WAY down and the car starts to sputter! It stops after I tap the gas or put it in neutral (I have an auto trans.) when I am stopped, and it goes back to normal idle. It never stalls completely, but it is odd!
I have recentlyhad my fuel system cleaned so I don't believe it to be a fuel related problem. Alternator? Battery? Spark plugs? Idle control arm???Many possibilities...ANY help is greatly appreciated!!!

Sounds like it's alternator related. Run to Auto Zone or something and have them check it. Mine did the same thing around 75K, but my Optima battery got me home, to the parts store and back to work where I changed it lol.

I tried the old fashioned way of turning EVERY light on and the fan and AC and hazards etc... to see if it could keep up; I witnessed the battery drain almost instantly...alternator is correct! Hopefully that step will help out the sluggishness when turning (power steering takes a lot I guess?!?)
