So last night after a friend and I went bowling, this tacoma with a TRD package is talking $hit. Now for those who dont know, TRD stands for Toyota racing Development, equivalent of SRT, AMG,SVT, etc. So being ignorrant,I was talking $hit back. We go to a nearby freeway and decide to settle it. We started from 45 mph andI threw it into 2 on the auto shifter, and we took off. Now those bitches are equipped with a supercharger and a nice 6-speed.I pull on him hard thru 2nd and in 3rd(but i never get more than a car length)but when we reach 105mph,(Its like 130am) he pulls on me hard and passes me. We did this twice and I'm hella mad thatI lost. Now in my defense,I had a friend with me, and my big *** 12' subs in my back seat and big rim and tires. I dont think if I had those out or smaller rims would I have been able to take him. Those things are rated at 260hp with a freackin SC. So, I've decided to buy gears, t'lok, and aluminum driveshaft next paycheck and start to get sum heat on my baby. I can definitely say that with those massive 265's and 285's i felt really smooth on the freeway. Oh im also gonna be transgo shift kit to help out tooo, I noticed around 110 my car juss didnt accelerate as hard too, but I think I need more tq.
Got your back crash, some cocky guy in a Tac/TRD flew buy me the other day whith his equally ignorant girlfriend hanging out the window yelling. The light tuned yellow and he actually slowed down to catch it. Light went green and I just floored it enought to stick beside him for a couple seconds..... and then... I dropped the accelerator down on him and thought to myself "this is for that guy on mustang forums!!!!" Next light he rolled down his window and said "oh man, i thought that was a 6" and i said "oh it is, you just picked the wrong one buddy"

For Jmod/tranny questions Read here, lots of great info: http://www.tccoa.com/articles/tranny/index.html#

Which one is less trouble? Which one is worth it? Which one is easier to screw up while installing? Which one is more cost effective?
If you just buy the complete Jmod Valve body...
I would say the jmod wins everything but the trans go is like 20$ cheaper if I remember correctly.
What is the difference between the 2?
Wuts a jmod,
how much does it cost,
and wut are the benefits?

its some adjustments made to the auto tranny valve body, and the difference is noticeable. crisper shifts. in this mod you simply get a valve body already with the mods made. You can take yours off and turn it in and wait for the mods to be made, or if you need to continue driving like I did: order the valve body about $114 - $120 depending on if you get the intake spacer at same time for discount, make the swap in about four hours (or less), then return your old valve body for a $40 core.

Bad ***...
Thanks...
I've got a manual though...
Is there anything similar I could do?
Obviously a shift kit...
But other than that...

Short shifter?

Like a Steeda Tri-Ax or an MGW

Great mod for a 5-speed. It makes driving the car so much more enjoyable, IMO.
