Mustang Bottomed out.(Solved) Shaking Front End.
I was pulling out of my friends driveway in my mustang when it bottomed out. After it bottomed out my SES light came on, I have a couple questions. First one, is there anything I should look for to see if maybe it got knocked lose so i dont have to pay for a scan? Second, Is there a place I can go to get a free trouble code scan? Im 18 and this is my first car, its my baby and I dont want it hurt. Any help is apreciated.

+1, they will do it for free. so get it checked out then post the code on here and somebody will tell you what it is. hopefully we will have an easy way to fix it as well.

sweet, thanks for the info. When I can I'll stop by there and do that. In the meantime anyone got anything that I can check in my driveway to see if it just got knocked loose?

I went to autozone and they did the check, it was a EGR flow problem the guy said it was either the EGR Vacuum Switch or the EGR Valve. I checked the Vacuum Switch and it was in the parameters (33ohms and correct voltage) and then removed the EGR Valve and it was pretty dirty. I put it back on and the light was off so I'll wait till I can get my check to replace that, but anyone know were I can find a better priced EGR Valve? (autozone is 49.99)

Maybe the EGR just got knocked loose from the bottoming out. Check the connection at the manifold to make sure it's good and tight then reset the check engine light by disconnecting the battery. If it doesn't come back on problem solved.

well I've driven my car about 15-20 miles today and and no light so i think it was just a glitch. but the other problem i have is when I'm braking at higher speeds (50-55mph+) the front end of my car shakes, is that just my cars brake rotors being warped or alignment problem or what?
