i want to remove the silencer on my stock intake and get a K&N drop in... how do I remove the silencer???

and can I remove the silencer before I get the filter??

You simply pull out the rubber part that extends into the fender, that is the silencer.

Yes, i have a fram paper filter and no silencer.
