You will need a new everything.

But then if you have 8,100$ for an engine you shouldn't have a problem comeing up with the other 16,000$+ That your going to need.

sure it will.

i can build the engine with an 01+ block for about $4500 and then turbo it like mad.

GT Eater AKA Gary is almost done with his turbo V6 and should make 700 at the wheels on a single T-80 setup. damn nice looking setup. Delk performance is doing the build for him. he may surpass Matt Neuharth in power who works for delk and has been working on gary's car.

i highly reccomend www.delkperformance.com for v6 guy's. they are really an honest bunch. Matt and John from Delk really stood by their word on used FMU and walbro fuel pump that i bought from them. talking to them on the Phone was really a delight. no BS and only concern that my needs were met.

i wish every speed shop was like that.

when it comes down to it us 6er's are really blessed with great shops and go fast parts makers.

RPM mustangs treated me really good
Delk was super.

never dealt with super six or morana but i only have heard great things about both. not so for alot of other performance places dedicated to other crappy non-3.8 ford engines.

let's say a prayer that all of our V6 parts suppliers have a great 2008 year and one that sets milestones for us. i hope to be a part of those select few parts suppliers and can only hope to be as good as delk has been to me.

happy new years to all and build your damn v6's to the max this next year[sm=badbadbad.gif][sm=badbadbad.gif][sm=bounceybounce.gif][sm=groupwave.gif][sm=crossbonesgif.gif][sm=gears.gif][sm=gears.gif][sm=gears.gif][sm=gears.gif][sm=gears.gif][sm=gears.gif][sm=gears.gif][sm=gears.gif]

Well.
Most 4.2L engines (ported/polished/cammed/bigger valves/forged pistons/rods/etcetc) are 6-7k
Single turbo kit is 4-5.5k
transmission is another 1.2-2.5k
good stall or clutch is another 4-500$
8.8 rear w/31spline is 1300$
Then you need 60+ lb injectors +300$
Then you need the fuel supply for that +800ish
Dyno Time

This is all assuming your on stock suspension and plan to do all the install youself.

625 hp in a street car..... hahahahahahahahahahaha.
Sorry man, but if you are asking about swapping in a carb'd V8 set up in place of your V6, you have a LOT to learn prior to doing that.

Just slap a blower on your V6 and call it a day. It will be enough power for you at this point.

regardless of how much money it will cost, it wouldnt surprise me if it would fit. ive seen 454's in sn95 bodies, so you can get some damn big engines in these cars. hood clearance is going to be a big issue, so remember youre going to spend another 750+ on a new hood/paint most likely.

I know for a fact that a 351 will fit with no clearance issues. There's a guy by me in a riced out (unpainted ugly body kit)new edge that has one. It's kind of a disappointment, since it only runs high 13's. I think it's either a stock engine, or very, very lightly modded.

Edit; it's got a 4bbl carb on it too, not EFI, which is whatI would've done, out of the 1st gen Lightning!

351's arent THAT big. he wants to put a 500ci+ in it. i think it will fit, but it will be very close, and be a bitch to work on because of the limited clearance. you might have to do some firewall fabrication to get it in there, but i would think you know what youre doing with welding and stuff if you plan to make this fit to begin with, or at least have the money to pay a shop to do it.
