v8 meaning the motor he wants, not the 4.6L. im sure he would be more impressed with the 600 hp motor than the s/c v6. i was saying that the swap could be comparable to a 4.6 swap with all the things that you would have to do, like rear end, possible tranny, comp blah blah blah. if he has his mind set on it do it. if i could afford it i would do that over modding the v6 any day. though if you werent planning on all this work, a 4.2 with a supercharger on top would be sick. there are a few around, i thought ryan was building one at one point, maybe not.

ORIGINAL: blackstalion232

that motor is going to be so wide that you would probally have to redo the whole fornt end and relocate the struts just to fit it in then you will have to buy new susspension to take the extra load then new rearend and tranny along with the ECM and bigger fuel pump possable firewall modsso ide say about 15000 if you plan on doing it your self and if not then kiss the next 50 years of your life good buy because thats how long it will take to pay that off if a shop dose it. or just go get a supercharger
and some nitiros and some interneals spend 5 grand and get 625rather than15 grand
A 385 series V8 isnt THAT wide, just a tad bit bigger than a 4v 4.6L V8, which do in fact fit in Sn95/Edge mustangs. Anyone else remember the Boss Shinoda 429ci Sn95 mustangs? Totally possible swap, just expensive and extensive.
