by any chance if you have duals, can you hear a difference, and dose it help on gas a tinney weeny bit? lol

 

i dont have duals personally (yet comming soon though!) but i can hear a difference a lil under the hood and as for gas idk i took it off like 3 days after i got my stang so i couldnt tell you you will ahve to ask others

 

i thought someone on 3.8 had a dyno showing that removing that actually lost power, not much but still a loss, dont remember exactly, however it may be a little bit different, but i have personallyseen dan04cobras car run a 13 flatwith no air silencer in it (well mild humitity but still)

 

It makes no sense that that would make it lose power. It is essientaillymaking a bigger area to pull fresher airI woulndt say it will add any but how would it hurt the performance? It's still close enough to the fender to pull cooler air in from there its not like a SRI that in my opinion pulls warmer air but has less resistence so would cancel out that idk maybe I'm crazy butI think your crazy to say that wold hurt your power at all.That being saidI have not seen that on 3.8nor will I search it as its ludicrris to think such, as there could be more factors on that dyno to affectit in a small way to say it was the removal of the silencer.To make it valid to me would take several cars running both and having more or less the same results.

i took it off, i just feel a little bit of a difference, and the exhaust sounds a little bit deeper, not that big of a deal
