ive been hearin plenty about gears and almost all of it has been about 3.73 and 4.10. ive noticed a few people havin 3.90. wuld it be good to jus go in betweenthe 3.73 and 4.10? wuld i get the benefits of both if i jus go wit 3.90 gears?

RE: gears gears gears
Short answer: no. stick with 3.73's for manual tranny, and 4.10's for automatic. Just curious though, what benefits are you talking about? both get you to the power band faster, automatics choose 4.10's because its best gear that is still street friendly. Manuals stick with 3.73 because 1st gear is so short, it makes shifting a pain.

4.10's are nice for 4.0's as they like to rev and breath better stock for stock over the 3.8 at high revs and they have a nicer trans gearing than us.
all around 3.73's are really a nice gear. 4.10's are harsh. bad traction on dry/wet pavement. (excellent in the snow however with an LSD). i hated my 4.10's. loved my 3.45's afeter my experience with the 4.10's now i have 3.73's and will be going back to 3.45's because i will most likely be going turbo.
singleport 3.45's are a damn nice gear as are 3.73's over stock gears
splitport go 3.73's. 3.45's don't make enough difference to warrant them unless you turbo your ride
