Default running rich?

Lately Ive been perfectly content with the performance of my little single port sixxer but now Ive noticed that when I let it warm up in the morning my garage and driveway reak of straight gasoline! My dad says that it may be running a little rich and that if I take it to this one guy at the ford delearship that were pretty cool with he might be able to tune it and make it a little faster and stop running rich.
Now is this just my dad talking all senile or will this actually work? because being in the middle of winter I really dont want that gas smell everywhere.

Default RE: running rich?

This is true.
Some power loss issues but nothing out of this world...

Too much fuel being injected into the cylinders with out enough air to detonate the fuel.
