No, you don't get bad acceleration, that is the point of low gearing. 4:10's will make you launch great, plus at 40-60 if you stomp on the gas, you take off like a Moe Foe.

Thanks for the help and answering my questions. Also would you recommend a torque converter? I'm asking you because i seen that you have one listed for your mods.

 

I agree, plus it's very satisfying to hear that chirp on the 1-2 shift when taking off from a dead stop.

 

Yea i have a shift kit so i get that cherp too.

 

The only reason I have a higher RPM T.C. is because I'm a freak about quick launching. I wanted to get as close as I could to a manual trans, but keep the benifits of my auto trans. Truth is, I wish I would have gone with a 3200 RPM TC.
