well just to throw in my .02 cents, i have about 7000 invested into my motor/trans/suspension right now. i also bought my car for 3000 and spend about 500 or so replacing some of the parts that go with time. so i got lets say 11000 into my car right now, should be at the 400hp mark and runnin in high 11's.
i know this isnt really comparable buy my friend bought an 02 v6 for 12500 and it came with bolt ons and its supercharged, and he only beet me by about 3 car lengths when i had my stock 220horse 302.
yeah his car looks better(opinion), better mileage and more dependable.
but id take my car over his anyday. just cause of the raw power, and the sound helps too
if you got any questions about my setup or anything let me know.

The F1 procharger is Huge-are there any advantages/disadvantages of running such a big blower like that??
Delk's v6 didnt sound too bad for a turbo'd 3.8

In Reply to indisposible_teens-On all 3 accounts-Handling, sound, and looks were my personal opinion apon which i thought was better
Thanks

Disadvantages: It takes like 140hp to turn the damn thing.

OMG dude, we have fairly similar mods, although I'm going a different route head and intake wise lol.

This is what I would do:

94-98 Single port V6 $3000.
Used Super Coupe motor $700.
Magnum Powers Power Pack #2 $3300.
Assuming self install etc...

Total: $7000
Hp/Tq: 425/470

But you'd need to mod a few other things as well to hold the power.

Compared to a stock 99-04 V6 I think that the 5.0 handles great. lol I have driven more than a few 5.0's and they have all out handled any V6 I have ever driven. JMO though.
