I just had my new gears installed on my car. I love the way the car fells now and how it perfoms but the only problem I got was the speedometer got throw off a bit. So now i ask what can i do to fix this or is it something i have to get used to?

its a 96' with a 5spd if it makes a difference.

 

Couldnt he use the speedo calibrator from Ford Racing since he has a stick?

that's right I was thinking of my car...

 

so now i need help figureing out what tranny my car has. Anyone on have an idea. I know its the stock one.

 

You have a 5sp, so it is a manual, what you need to know is which gears were put in, the ratio, and how many teeth are on your original gear, just pull it and count them. It looks like it could have had either that year, it's only one bolt to check it.

edit, it looks like you should have an 8 tooth, but check just to be sure.

 

i was thinking an 8 tooth also but just needed somebody else to give me their thought. By the way the ratio is 3.73
