Default Mach 1 catback

Has anyone put a stockmach 1 catbackon their v6? I was just wondering how it would sound without cats. I like the sound of the new procharger and want a little quieter exhaust than the flowmasters.
Thanks

There are a reason those are only on the v8's bro. but im sure it would be a lot quieter and pretty cheap. but if i were you id get some flowmaster 40s, they even make a dual catback system, i think its around $570. Good luck, and let me know if you hear anything else about your mach one question.

Icurrently haveflowmasters on my car. Then why do a lot of people put flowmaster's, a 2 chambermuffler on their car? Theres a reason those are v8 mufflers bro.V6's and v8 have pretty much the same exhaust setup, catback wise. I just am looking if anyone has done it to their car and how it sounds...

i knew some of these sixer guys were dumb about CAI's and that...saying that Flowmaster 40's are good for V6's is telling me that NGK spark plugs are good for diesels...i think your on the "yellow brick road" to be a ricer 'bro' (what frat were you in bro) (what roids are you on bro) (how tan are you bro) idiots man...

I agree the same setup- but you cant compare oem mufflers to flows or any other aftermarket ones. The way exhaust gasesflow and is scavanged (let alone sounds)makesan aftermarket muffler, especially one that can be used on numerous models of cars or even trucks. But really, imtruly curious on what this setup sounds like, no offense to you, I can see how i might have came off earlier. I'm gonna research it a little, see if i can dig up sumtin for you.

Hey, no hard feelings.I suppose i was a little harsh my self. yea, i have the flow 40's now and they sound good below 3,000 rpms but anything above that sounds like a horn. Strange how it works. Yea, i just want something a little quieter with a little tone to it. When i rode im my friends mach 1, it was quiet with a little noise until when he stomped on it.

oh i had no clue you were looking for that "special mustang sound" lol. We each want something different, heck, some guys love those loudmouths I's where you can't even hear the radio over them. Im asking the 4.6 guys if they have any clue on the setup. do you know if they are even different from the mufflers that come oem on the gt's? Im not sure...

and lol on the horn thing, i would use that as my quote but theflowmaster guys would run me outta mustang forums.

WOW. I'll tell you what, i never said flows did anything performance wise on a v6, but they are louder that stock and do flow a hell of a lot better ( and that would be perfomance wise). Don't ever call me a ricer, i just got done building a 69 camaro 396 bored out to a 402. And i did used to be a "sixxer guy" proud of it. Theyre the best, they know how to work with what they got. I miss my sixxer soooo much.. it'd definately shut your mouth DICKwitham.
