Long Tubes
yes, I know this is another long tube thread, but I've got a couple questoins. I've got a 98, and I know they say they don't fit 98's, but I thought there was just something like a wire you just have to relocate, correct? Not terrible difficult I would assume?
Second, if I get LT's, is there anyway I can have divorced pipes, or is it better to have a catted H pipe? If I can just stick with divorced pipes (since I like the sound of them) that would be alright, but then what would I do as far as cats? Can they just weld those in somewhere in the system, and are Hi flow cats equally good for emmissions as regular ones?
Last, do you guys expect the pacesetter LT's to be better or equal to the MAC's? I mean, they're 100 bucks cheaper (at least the painted ones anyways) than the MAC's, so I would probably go with those. I know they don't release until this summer, but I'm having shoulder surgery in a couple weeks so I can't drive for probably a month or two anyways...
So basically, PSTR LT's or MAC LT's, what do I do for cat's/midpipe (are there any options besides a catted shorty midpipe) and will I pass if I only have 1 cat on each side (I would assume only 1 per side with LT's right?) and what do I do to make them fit 98's? We have sniffer emissions so I don't want to screw myself over.

i have a 98, and a bunch of people with 98s have lts. just buy the ones for the 94-7, and i believe making it work just requires something like extending the egr with silicone tubing due to the difference of location...but a good exhaust guy should figure it out.
do NOT buy the painted pacesetters. the "paint" will flake off within a week, and then the headers will rust. i know, i had them on one of my cars once. the armor coated ones i had on my old turbo four banger were nice, but i dunno how the mustang versions are gonna be. i think vcs said they werent gonna be available for purchase til july, or soemthing.
hope that helps a lil.
