Acceleration??

I think you should get some sort of financial frame for these guys to work with, because if you keep saying stuff like 'price is no problem' or not caring about mileage someones going to fire out 'Sell the V6 and buy/finance a GT".
On a side note, getting old sucks, I remember being like 14 yrs old reading car craft and being amazed that '93 5L cobras and 350 TPI Z28's were pulling high 14's stock and thinking that was fast. 4.0L mustangs are doing that now and 'acceleration is terrible'. Man when your first cars are used 70's smog era left overs you'll know what terrible acceleration is all about.
Now stay off my lawn!

what is a realistic price you wanna spend?
and to thewrongguy, i hear that man. its funny, you look up the stats on even some late 80s/early 90s lambos and ferraris, and the 1/4 mile times are what 25,000.00 cars now are running stock.
Yeah, but those cars weren't built for the quarter, they were built for the street. Get that ferarri past 100, and that baby is just getting started. Same with the big block mopars, not that impressive stock via 1/4 mile, you get that bitch on the freeway, CYA!
P.S Saying money isn't an issue is too vague, if it's like that, sell it and get an 04 cobra or something of that caliber. If I were you OP, i'd get some exhaust on it, gears, and go frome there. Off topic, (i know i'm the king of off topic but F IT) I can remember running low 13's back in the mid to late ninety's before the big MOPAR CRAZE, and I thought that baby was so fast. I couldn't hardly get a race in that ol' charger. My oh my, have things changed.

Haha.....old cars. Anyway, sorry for being vague guys. To JKs95stang: I was going to get an 04 cobra, but I like the new mustang body style more, and my parents did buy this mustang for me, and they said "no v8's" so thats out too. Lol. I should say that my financial frame is around 8 to 10 thousand in the next 4 years. I am doing this gradually, not all at once. But right now I have 4,000 dollars saved, and willing to blow on whatever.
If your still in high school or just out, I'd save up that 4 large for college or something. The whole point of having a cool car when your that young is to make picking up women easier. Maybe buy some nice rims, nice drop, rent karate kid to get the whole 'wax on wax off' down then start worrying about the paternety suits.

^^^^ lol. too true.
but seriously, hes probably on the right track. modding cars is expensive, it is really a rich man's hobby (if you wanna make big power and still keep current on your bills...i have a craqzy friend who pushes a 400whp Sti, but cant pay his phone bill... )and unfortunately, when you start making big power, other things start to break.
happened i dont KNOW how much on my old turbo 4 cyl. i would so some light, light performance mods (like an axle back exhaust, a K&N drop in), some nice wheels and tires, maybe a bullit suspension kit, and use the rest of your cash in keeping it up, keeping it clean, etc. and save the rest for rainy days.
