Ok, now I have a different question. What is the difference between 3.73, 3.90, and 4.10's? Which one is better? And what do they actually do?

I sell ur car and use that plus the 4k as a downpayment on somethin else...

But each different gear ratio does a little bitdifferent stuff...
All of em lower ur top speed,
but increase low end acceleration...
The higher the number the lower ur top speed but the better low end accel...
I would suggest 3.73's if ur car is standard,
or4.10's if it's automatic...
Andif u do change gears you'll also want a locker...
It makes both of ur rear tires spin...
U can either get a cheaper t-lok which may eventually break...
Or go for the more expensive Detroit Tru-trac...
Which is wut I would do if i had ur money...

Lol. It's not that I'm rich!!! My family is just very good at saving money. (Well, we are comfortable....lets say that) And I am also very good at saving money, did it my entire senior year in high school. Hehe, and thanks for the explaination. So then I will actually be hurting my top speed???? So then I would have to put more parts in my stang to make the top speed go back up?????

 

Well yes...
But I really don't know by how much...
But how many times do you really top out ur car anyway compared to how many times u just wanna get off the line faster?
I think it's a pretty good trade...

if you have a spec 2 clutch, im guessing you are a 5 spd, lol. go with 3.73s. 4.10s, and 1st gear will be really short...and if you continue to mod your car, this will be amplified. id go with the 3.73s. it is a nice medium.
