Okay, I have a 96 v6 automatic mustang and my fan is very dealyed when cutting on. I think I need to get a new coolant sensor, anyone know where they are located?

As you saying that the cooling fan is staying on when you turn the car off? If so thats not really a problem. My old 85 did that all the timwhen it was really hot out, and my 95 does it every once in a while when ive driven for a long time, or its really hot out...hope this helps.

No it doesn't stay on the best to my knowledge. My car starts to run hot and then the fan cuts on later than it should and it cools down but there is a long delay before it actually cuts on. I think it's the sensor.
