hey guys, im looking into getting a used tuner off craigslist. i was just wondering whats the difference between a locked and unlocked tuner?

and what degree of a difference will i feel with my almost stock set up

H pipe dual 40's
and a k&n intake?

I just got one off craigslist too. If it is locked then don't get it unless they can unlock it for you. Locked means it is set to ONE vehicle already and it can not be used on another vehicle. If it is already unlocked then you are ready to go. I would check it to be sure though when you buy it. As for the difference in your stangs performance.... do you have a auto or a manual? You will feel it way more with a auto. Either way you will notice a nice difference because of the intake and the exhaust.

im stupid but how would you check, and if its locked how would you unlock it?
and yea my car is a manual =]
and whats if its locked on another v6 stang.?
