Default Quick Question!!!

Hey I heard of this Jegs.com website, and they are offering a Y-pipe for the v6 mustang for about $190, free shipping. Have any of youpersonally tried it, or seen anyone that has it on their mustang? Is it any good? I know it doesn't add horse power or anything but I just want the dualexhaust look on my mustang. Please comment on it and check out the website to let me know what you guys think.Just go to Jegs.com and enter555-30406 where it says enter part number, then press enter.

dont do it. for around 100 more, you could have true duals. go get a couple quotes from exhaust shops around you- if you provide mufflers and tips, Ill bet you can get it done for 300ish total. youll end up with a better sound, and roughly a similar cost, since you would have to buy mufflers and tips with the Y pipe anyway.

Buy a pair of force mufflers from summit(~$35 each or something) and have a shop fab up the piping for true duals. It'll end up being maybe just a tad more expensive, but it will sound and perform better.

Skip the Jeg's kit and have a shop fab something up for you.

Do you have dynographs to prove this? If not, please don't post misleading statements.

Misleading? Unless he uses some ungodly pipe size for his duals, they will no doubt perform better than a Y-pipe on our cars.

It really depends what you want to do with the car. If you are going to do visual mods, or basic bolt ons, stay with the 2.25, it's plenty enough for almost stock apps. If you plan on doing heads, cam , intake, possible forced induction, etc... best to go ahead and get the 2.5 now and be done with it, maybe add the long tubes later if thats the route you are going.
