Default Acceleration problem... Any ideas?

It's really hard to explain but I'm havin a weird problem sometimes when I accelerate...
I haven't noticed it in awhile,
but when I went to the track last weekend on my last run it happened again...
The best way I can explain it is that it feels like my clutch is slipping...
But it CAN'T be my clutch cause I JUST bought a new one...
SPEC stage 2...
My engine revs and rpm increases but the power doesn't all make it to the wheels...
U can feel a significant loss...
And it's not just my tires spinning...
It feels different...
Hard to explain...
But the other day when I was drivin down beltway 8 in 4th I was steadily accelerating but every once in awhile it would I guess bog down for about half a second or so then continue accelerating...
Sorry...
It's not easy to explain accurately...
It'd be easier to show u...
lol

if its not the clutch.. maybe misfireing?? could give ya a quick sudden loss of power feeling, if ya put it in like 5th gear and just floor it from like 40-80 on the highway, to put it under load. does it feel like the car jerks a lil as if it didnt have power for a sec? more information on it would help like if its always when being pushed hard on acceleration.. or is deaccel a problem too, little details help a lot

Check your spark plugs to make sure they're all on tight. Check the plugs to make sure one isn't fried or about to be fried. Check the spark plug wire connections to the coil pack to make sure everything is tight. Are the cathodes on the coil pack in good condition (little/no corrosion, making good contacts).

I suspect that your problem lies in the above areas. All it takes is one plug not working right for your car to experiance severe power loss.

Just replaced the plugs about a thousand miles ago...
And it's not constant...
It's occasional...
Would a throw out bearing be causin this?
It's gettin worse...
I'm startin to think it might BE the damn clutch...
Replaced it a few thousand miles ago...
And was SUPPOSED to get the flywheel resurfaced...
I've also been havin problems puttin it into 5th gear at higher rpms...
Don't know why...
But I'll re check all the stuff ya'll r talkin about...
Thanks!

dude, it's your coil pack. i experienced all of those symptoms. i had brand new plugs and wires, as well as a spec stage 1.

it's a difficult thing to describe to anyone who hasn't experienced it, but from what i can tell, that's the same thing that happened to me, and a new $82 coil pack fixed the problem. even if you don't do your own mechanical work, you can easily put it in yourself.
